Cycle 1, Day 6
Today I had no treatment but we went to the hospital to learn how to flush my PICC lines. Not too complicated but it’s a daily task to keep me healthy. We actually decided to walk home from the hospital since the weather was coolish but sunny. It was about a 30 minute walk to where…

Chemo Day 4
Yesterday (10/31), was my last chemo infusion day for this cycle. I’m still very tired and a little more nauseated than I was. The hardest part of yesterday day was definitely not being able to take my kiddos trick or treating. I missed seeing my little airplane, pilot, and flight attendant roaming the streets for…

Chemo Day 3
Yesterday (10/30) was day 3 of chemotherapy. It went much like day 2 although no nap required as we did not make it to the zoo beforehand. There were no crazy side effects except for fatigue and a hint of nausea. I was able to eat a meal when we got back from the hospital…

Knowing we wanted more than one opinion for a cancer that many doctors never even encounter, we started looking for other cancer centers with sarcoma clinics/departments. Memorial Sloane Kettering (MSK) in NYC seemed…

How It All Started
I never imagined, in all the times I thought about starting a blog, that this would be the subject. Wouldn’t have even made the list let alone the top 10. But, here I am, writing it anyway. For those of you that haven’t heard the whole story, I’m going to lay it all out. Get comfy,…

My Story
I was diagnosed with Angiosarcoma, a rare and very aggressive cancer, in October 2023. My hope is that, by telling my story, I will be able to help someone else like myself win this battle. I truly believe that the more optimistic and hopeful you are, the better you can fight.
