Phase 2 Begins Tomorrow

I have been trying to write this update for a week and the words just wouldn’t come.

I had a CT scan done a couple of weeks ago that showed no metastases and my echocardiogram showed no sign of heart damage from the chemotherapy. I’m still experiencing a lot of fatigue from the chemo but I try to sneak naps in when I can!
It has been so wonderful to be home with my kids. Being with them doing normal things definitely make me feel more like myself.

Radiation begins tomorrow so I’ve been packing and preparing (and procrastinating) to try and get ready. It will be 5 weeks of Monday-Friday treatments. I’ll be in Houston without my husband and kids for the first three weeks so I’m a bit of a weepy mess. Thankfully, we are able to bring them down for the last two weeks. Appointments, although daily, are typically only 20-30 minutes long which means we will have lots of time to explore together. We’ve quite the list of things to do and places to go.

Caleb (who is coming down with me to help get me settled in) and I just boarded our first flight. Putting him back on a plane in a few days is going to be so hard for me. I’ve never been away from him or the kids for this long and I’ll have lots of time with little to do.

I’m going to hopefully use all that free time to work on hobbies and projects I’ve pushed aside for a while. Oh, and naps. I should be able to fit them into my day much more easily! I am looking forward to all the sunshine and warm weather too!

Much love to you all and thank you for the continued support ❤️
