What I Know About Angiosarcoma

I was diagnosed with Primary Angiosarcoma of the Breast.

Sarcoma is one of the rarest types of cancer. Angiosarcoma comprises approximately 1-2% of sarcomas. One doctor told us only 200-300 cases are reported in the country each year.

Angiosarcoma is cancer in the lining of the blood vessels. It spreads through the bloodstream and can metastasize just about anywhere.

It is rare. It is aggressive.  It is hard to beat depending on your individual case.

I know it will be difficult. I know it’s going to suck for a while, but… I. WILL. BEAT. THIS. I know in my gut I am meant to be here. I will see my kids graduate high school. I will see my husband’s hair turn grey. I will see my grandchildren. And I will be here to annoy every one of you with my silliness and sarcasm. Of this, I have no doubt.
